Job Title: Fire and Security Engineer
Location: East Midlands
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week, including a 1 in 5 on-call rota
Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays
Role Overview:
Are you a skilled Fire and Security Engineer looking to join a dynamic and growing team? APS Security are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer to be part of our dedicated workforce, delivering exceptional service across the East Midlands.
About the Role:
As a Fire and Security Engineer at APS Security, you will be working with a variety of systems and equipment, including:
- Fire: Advanced & Kentec
- Intruder: Galaxy & Pyronix
- CCTV: Hikvision
- Access Control: Paxton
This is a hands-on role that requires confidence and proficiency in working independently with these systems. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security for our clients.
About You:
- Experience: You have a minimum of 2 years of solo working experience in a Fire and Security engineering role, with a proven track record of working independently and handling various fire, intruder, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Location: You will be based within the East Midlands, allowing you to efficiently serve our client base within this region.
- Technical Skills: You are confident in working with a range of equipment, including Advanced & Kentec fire systems, Galaxy & Pyronix intruder alarms, Hikvision CCTV, and Paxton access control systems. You have strong problem-solving abilities and are capable of diagnosing and rectifying faults quickly and effectively.
- Customer-Focused: You are passionate about providing exceptional service to clients, with strong communication skills that help build trust and rapport. You are professional, approachable, and committed to ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adaptability: You can manage a varied workload and adapt to new challenges, whether that involves working on new systems, keeping up with the latest industry developments, or handling emergency call-outs.
- Attention to Detail: You have a meticulous approach to your work, ensuring all installations and maintenance meet safety standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Team Player: While capable of working independently, you thrive in a team environment, sharing knowledge, and supporting your colleagues to achieve shared goals.
